Prerequisites: There are no formal entry requirements. However, learners are recommended to have prior knowledge of health and safety — ideally through the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent qualifications. A good standard of English is required to understand concepts and complete assessments.

Assessments: The Diploma comprises three units:

DI1 – Know

Content :Workplace health and safety principles
Assessment Method : Assignment: workplace‑based tasks, simulations, reflective activities, and a research topic

DI2 – Do

Content :Controlling workplace health issues
Assessment Method : Scenario‑based assessment

DI3 – Do

Content :Controlling workplace Safety issues
Assessment Method : Scenario‑based assessment

Qualification Grades: The qualification grade is based on the result from Unit IG1:

Distinction: 75 marks or higher
Credit: 65 – 74 marks
Pass: 50 – 64 marks

Exams:

NEBOSH publishes exam dates in advance.
Learners must register through EQMS Ingenuity by the notified deadlines.

Issue of Certificates: Certificates are issued by NEBOSH upon successful completion of all three units. Learners achieving the qualification may attend the annual NEBOSH Graduation Ceremony.

Retest: If you do not pass a unit, you may re‑register for the assessment. Fees apply.
